I jumped ahead of myself a little bit starting this project out. First of all, here is the new Ballerina Push Mold, and here is a picture of it. This would be considered a slightly advanced push mold because the fingers and toes only form into a general shape. The push mold comes with a course on how to form the hands/fingers and toes. Because she is a ballerina, her foot is in a pointed position
I am using my favorite polymer clay mix: Super Sculpey and Sculpey III in the color white. I condition the clay by using a pasta machine and keep the blended clay in a plastic sandwich bag so it is protected from dust.
I will also be using white cloth-covered wire and a surgical blade and a stainless steel dental spatula. I will also have a spray bottle of water and sandpaper on hand. The sandpaper is 60 grit, 100 grit, 220 grit, 400 and finally 600 grit.
