After the first few dolls, you will begin to develop your own style of dollmaking. The dolls will no longer look like mine or like anyone elses. It's like handwriting; even though we all make the same shapes, each hand creates its own unique style. At first it is easy to just make the dolls from the molds as they are molded. But after about 5 dolls, you might want the option of inserting your own hand-made eyes or the glass eyes that are popular in fairy dollmaking. This mold makes it easier because you can either paint the eyes and then place on the clay lids (shown in the doll eye video) or they are easier to dig out to insert your own eyes. The Fairy Temptress can also be purchased with two additinoal face molds that fit onto the master mold. |
