Portrait Dolls - More Info
How it Works:
You submit three photos of the soon-to-be Bride.
-
One photo straight on and close up;
-
the second picture is from the side, a full and clear profile; the third is a three-quarter shot, you stand slightly to the side of the bride, and aim the camera at the center of the cheek. This last shot shows the depth of the cheeks.
What happens next:
I sculpt a portrait doll face/head from the photos. This take about one week. The second phase is to make a mold of the head. This takes another week to dry. Then a doll head is poured in either porcelain ($1,000.00) or air dry ceramic ($500.00).
At this point the doll is sanded, finished, painted, dressed, veiled and mailed to you in time to be presented to your bride on her favorite day -- or at her shower.
